HatchHope is one of the contributors and partners of Books For Africa. We collect used books and relay them to Books For Africa. The donated books are then shipped and distributed to specific schools on the African continent.
2011: HatchHope For Humanity collected 96.6 lbs of textbooks worth $342.63 for Books for Africa. The text books were donated by faculty at Howard University Medical College’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, namely Dr. M. George, Dr. M.Coomes and Dr. I. Koretsky.
2009: HatchHope collected 343 Lbs of textbooks worth $3000 in support of Books for Africa. The text books were donated by George Mason University Department of Biology, Dr. C. Beck, Dr. L. Rockwood, Dr. C. Madden and Prof. E. O’Brien.
2008: HatchHope collected 99 Lbs of text books to aid Books for Africa.
